Northwest Railway Museum, Snoqualmie

The Northwest Railway Museum is situated in the Snoqualmie, Washington.

This railroad museum was founded in 1957 as the Puget Sound Railway Historical Association and took its current name in 1999.

The mission of the organization is to develop and operate an outstanding railway museum where the public can see and understand the role of railroads in the development of the Pacific Northwest.

For a photography enthusiast this place has some good photo-op.

The museum also operates a heritage railroad call Snoqualmie Valley Road. This 5-mile  railroad allows museum visitors to experience a train excursion aboard antique railroad coaches through the Upper Snoqualmie Valley.

The museum has a number of events through the year. One of the exciting ones for children is the "Day out with Thomas" - a 25 minute ride with Thomas, the tank engine. Also the 'Santa Train' which runs in Nov-Dec each year.
Do check out details for 2013 events here
